Bukit Batok HDB House Painting Services Singapore | Peeling Paint Repair & Professional Repainting

Professional HDB Painting in Bukit Batok, Singapore – A&J Painting & Handyman, Since 2007

Are you experiencing peeling paint, uneven wall surfaces, old paintwork or deteriorating balcony walls in your HDB flat?

At A&J Painting & Handyman, we believe a quality painting job is more than just applying a fresh coat of paint. Proper surface preparation, professional workmanship and suitable painting materials are essential for a beautiful and long-lasting finish.

Established in 2007, we provide professional HDB and condominium painting services throughout Singapore, using our own experienced local painters.

Our Recent Bukit Batok House Painting Project

Our recent painting project in Bukit Batok involved walls and surfaces showing signs of ageing, damaged paintwork and peeling paint.

Before repainting, our painters carried out preparation work to improve the surfaces and achieve a better finishing result.

Step 1: Protecting the Home Before Painting

We take care to protect furniture, flooring and surrounding areas before starting painting work.

Proper protection helps minimise dust, paint splashes and inconvenience to homeowners.

Step 2: Scraping and Removing Loose Paint

Applying fresh paint directly over loose or peeling paint can lead to recurring problems.

Our experienced painters carefully scrape away loose paint and assess the surface condition before proceeding with repairs.

Step 3: Wall Plastering and Sanding

Damaged surfaces, small holes, cracks and uneven patches require suitable preparation.

Where necessary, we carry out plastering and sanding to create a smoother surface before painting.

Step 4: Applying Suitable Sealers

For surfaces affected by peeling, chalking or poor paint adhesion, an appropriate sealer may be required.

We recommend suitable primer or sealer treatment according to the actual surface condition.

Step 5: Professional Wall and Balcony Repainting

Once preparation work is completed, our painters proceed with repainting to achieve a clean and consistent finish.

For balcony areas exposed to moisture and changing weather conditions, selecting appropriate painting materials is especially important.

Why Proper Painting Preparation Matters

A quality paint finish depends heavily on the condition of the surface beneath it.

Skipping essential preparation may lead to:

  • Recurring peeling or flaking paint
  • Uneven wall finishes
  • Poor paint adhesion
  • Visible patch marks
  • Additional repair expenses in future

At A&J Painting & Handyman, we focus on doing the necessary preparation rather than simply covering problems with fresh paint.

HDB Painting in Bukit Batok Singapore | Professional Painting for Occupied Homes – Before & After

Professional HDB House Painting Services in Bukit Batok by A&J Painting & Handyman – Established Since 2007

Are you planning to repaint your HDB flat in Singapore but worried about the inconvenience of painting while your family is still living inside?

At A&J Painting & Handyman, we provide professional HDB painting services for both occupied and vacant homes across Singapore.

Our latest painting project was carried out at an occupied HDB flat in Bukit Batok, where our local painters carefully protected the surrounding areas, prepared the walls and ceilings, and delivered a fresh, neat painting finish.

Bukit Batok HDB Painting Project – Before & After

Our Bukit Batok painting project involved refreshing interior walls and ceilings while the homeowner continued staying in the flat.

As shown in our project photographs, the existing wall surfaces had visible marks, patches and uneven colouring that needed attention before repainting.

Our painting process included:

✅ Protecting surrounding furniture, fixtures and flooring with plastic sheets and masking materials.

✅ Preparing wall surfaces and patching minor holes and imperfections.

✅ Repainting walls and ceilings to achieve a cleaner, more uniform appearance.

✅ Taking extra precautions when working inside an occupied HDB home.

✅ Maintaining neat workmanship throughout the project.

The result: A brighter, cleaner-looking living space with refreshed walls and ceilings, without requiring the homeowner to move out.

Can You Paint an HDB Flat While Still Living Inside?

Yes! Homeowners in Singapore can arrange interior painting while continuing to live in their HDB flats.

At A&J Painting & Handyman, we understand the challenges of painting an occupied home, especially when furniture, electrical appliances and personal belongings are present.

Our painters take care to protect surrounding areas and organise the work to minimise inconvenience.

Proper ventilation and adequate drying time are important before using freshly painted rooms.

Why Is Wall Preparation Important Before Painting?

Good painting results depend on more than applying fresh paint.

Before repainting, our painters assess the existing wall conditions and carry out the necessary surface preparation.

Depending on the condition, this may include:

  • Filling minor cracks, screw holes and surface imperfections.
  • Scraping away loose or peeling paint.
  • Smoothing uneven wall surfaces.
  • Applying suitable sealers where necessary.
  • Protecting adjacent surfaces before painting.

Proper preparation helps improve paint adhesion and contributes to a smoother, longer-lasting finish.

Why Choose A&J Painting & Handyman Singapore?

With experience serving Singapore homeowners since 2007, we focus on quality workmanship, clear pricing and reliable painting services.

House Painting Tips: Why Proper Preparation Matters Before Painting

Painting your home may look like a simple DIY project. Buy some paint, prepare a roller and brush, apply masking tape and start painting.

However, from our experience at A&J Painting & Handyman, the actual painting is only one part of the job. Proper preparation and protection before painting are equally important if you want a clean and professional finish.

Recently, we came across a homeowner who had attempted to paint his own home before contacting professional painters for help.

Although masking tape had been applied, paint still managed to seep and drip beyond the taped areas. Paint marks were left on the skirting, window frames and door frames. Unfortunately, the homeowner also injured his hand while carrying out the work.

Eventually, professional painters were still needed to rectify and complete the painting.

Why Can Paint Still Get Under Masking Tape?

Simply sticking masking tape around an area does not guarantee that paint will not seep underneath it.

The surface may be dusty, uneven or textured. Tape may also not be pressed down properly along the edges. Applying too much paint around the taped area can also cause paint to run beneath the tape.

Experienced painters know how much paint to apply near protected surfaces and how to prepare and mask different areas correctly.

What Should Be Protected Before Painting?

Before painting begins, areas that are not being painted should be properly protected.

This can include flooring, furniture, skirting, switches, sockets, windows, window frames, doors, door frames and other nearby fittings.

Taking additional time to protect these areas can save much more time later.

Removing dried paint from flooring, timber, aluminium frames or other finished surfaces can be difficult and may even damage the original finish.

Wall Preparation Is Just as Important

Before applying new paint, the wall and ceiling condition should also be checked.

Common problems include:

  • Hairline cracks
  • Screw or nail holes
  • Peeling paint
  • Powdery or chalky surfaces
  • Mould
  • Water stains
  • Uneven plaster
  • Previous paint that has poor adhesion

Depending on the condition, scraping, plastering, sanding or the correct type of sealer may be required before repainting.

Painting directly over an existing problem may make the wall look better temporarily, but the problem can return again.

DIY Painting Can Take Longer Than Expected

DIY painting can certainly be suitable for someone who has the time, experience and proper equipment.

However, homeowners should consider the amount of preparation involved as well as the physical work required.

Moving furniture, covering belongings, climbing ladders, preparing walls, painting ceilings, cleaning up paint spills and completing several coats can be tiring.

Safety should also be considered when working at height or using tools and ladders.

Sometimes It Is Better to Relax and Let Professional Painters Handle It

At A&J Painting & Handyman, we believe that good painting begins with proper preparation.

Our team handles the protection, surface preparation, painting and clean-up so homeowners do not have to spend their time worrying about paint dripping onto their flooring, doors or windows.

We have been providing painting and handyman services in Singapore since 2007.

Our painting service includes:

  • Professional surface preparation
  • Protection of surrounding areas
  • General crack line and screw-hole rectification
  • Proper painting application
  • Local professional painters
  • No subcontracting
  • No GST
  • 18-month free rectification/touch-up warranty

If you are planning to repaint your HDB, condominium or residential property, contact A&J Painting & Handyman for a quotation.

Instead of spending your weekend moving furniture, masking the house and cleaning paint splashes, you can relax and let experienced painters take care of the work.
